Level Idea: (sorry if i don't really have the terminology to explain this, i don't play a lot of games 😭)
Psy's Untitled Game is a survival game with various waves of enemies. As each wave progresses, the enemies get stronger and there are different types of enemies. The player begins with some basic attacks (for example a powerful single-target melee attack or a more ranged slash attack that does weaker AOE damage). As the enemies get stronger, the player can unlock different attacks, picking and choosing between different attacks to unlock at each milestone. The objective of the game is to survive as many waves as possible and get a high-score.

Mechanic Idea: The Void mechanic is an end-game attack unlocked at the later stages of the game. The attack affects the entire map and does damage to every enemy. Similarly to the Void spell in Clash Royale (wow very creative naming psy), the damage done to each enemy scales down with the number of enemies. However, the attack also temporarily blinds the player (the player has significantly reduced arena vision) and can only be used once every 20-30 (?) seconds.

Introduction: Every attack in the level aside from the base attacks is given a description, which is shown to the player, when unlocked during the game. Additionally, when the player unlocks an attack for the first time, they have the option to see a demonstration of the attack (or they can view this demonstration in the main menu). Additionally, when unlocking a new attack, the attack will initially be "overpowered," giving the player room to experiment with it before later waves bring stronger enemies relative to the attack's power.

Gameplay Impact: This attack adds another layer of depth to the survival mechanics. The Void attack excels at taking down powerful mini-boss enemies, or quickly clearing a weak swarm. However, the Void attack leaves the player vulnerable to incoming enemies that cannot be seen. (to be continued)

The attack is best as a finisher move, which affects how the player approaches gameplay.

Why This Mechanic? The Void attack is a cool end-game attack that adds depth to a survival game. Because of the limitations that it imposes on the player while using it, the attack deepens the strategy of the game. Additionally, a large-scale clearing attack fits well in a survival-style game with many waves of enemies.
