#Playtesting/Feedback on Heat Flash

Hey, I am working on a level for AudieoVisual’s CC3: The Sampling Contest. I just want an extra pair of eyes to help with this level in these ways:

  1. Is the level Easy demon difficulty
  2. Is the level balancing good (all the parts around the same difficulty)
  3. Is the gameplay enjoyable (ID: 111124268)
  4. Any suggestions on how to make it better in general (could be anything)

Even a couple thoughts can help out a ton and for anyone reading this, thank you for your time.

ok so to begin

the balancing is NOT good

#

some parts are 3 star and some go up to hard demon

#

and the level doesnt have to be 3 minutes long

#

theres nothing to keep me as a player occupied

#

it gets stale really quickly

#

now to the balancing

#

these jumps are harder for no reason

#

unrelated but you can skip these orbs easily by just jumping off the highest block

#

the ship right after that is super easy

#

the click into this ball is really awkward for no reason (move the orbs to the left so you jump off the center of the platform)

(im in practice ignore the checkpoint and text) this ball click is also strangely late

#

both of these 2 that i listed above are not easy demon at all

#

why can you skip this portal (if ur intended to jump into it make skipping it a coin route)

and everything after this double spike to here is about medium demon imo

#

this ufo is like 3-4 stars

#

that swing part is very inconsistent

#

nothing notable before this ship (which is free)

#

this ball click is unnecessairly tight

#

the click before the green orb (into the blue portal) sometimes leads to you dying no matter what, fix pls

#

these black orb clicks are tighter than the rest of the part by a bit

this is quite easy to do

#

path above is a nice spot for a coin (but make it tighter because coin)

the timewarped section feels awkward (thats a me thing prob)

so its quite boring on top of having balancing issues

if this was a 1 minute level sure

#

3 minutes might be pushing it

#

so i think u should add more gimmicks and do whatever to keep the player occupied
dont repeat the same gamepaly over and over

for enjoyment its fine

i mean im a sweaty nerd so i get around the balancing issues easily

#

but for someone at easy demon level these chokepoints might cause issues

but the 7 star parts and chokepoints sort of even out to easy demon

Added 500 xp to endlex, they are now level 11 with 6,056 xp.

the first drop is so much more difficult than any other part

#

however the final drop feels both too easy and kind of slow
