#Poll: Is 2.2 going to make levels bad
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
yeah no youre right
it's going to be just like 2.0
then after like
ten months when people get used to all the new shit it'll die down
and people will start making actually good levels
People will abuse the new features
That's a given
But once everyone realizes that they're making trash and learn how to use the features properly some really cool levels will be made
Here's an example of what was made in the gdps
When people know how to use the editor
As for the standards
Maybe they'll be raised in 2.2 because with all the new shaders you can make a layout and plop some shaders on it (and hope is still sightreadable) and boom
Rateworthy level
i personally would just keep on making 2.1 style levels
added reactions to the original post so yall can go ham there
you can stretch the camera in 2.2? that could be interesting
That's done with the help of the split screen shader
If you input negative values it reverses the cam
-2 to make it look reversed
Negative spit screen is better in some use cases than positive
yep i can imagine
can the split screen be individually controlled on the X and Y axes? @clear birch
very nice
i am keeping that in mind
and you can also set where the screen warps from too, right?
If you make the camera static on a point
You can't control where the stretching comes from tho
ah
Yeah that's the only downside with this effect
Also wanna know a trivia fact about the teleport trigger for fun
yea sure
There's a setting called force which pushes the player right
So with a certain setup depending on how you rotate the tp trigger itself will determine where the player gets pushed by the force
So now rotation influences trigger behavior
✨2.2✨
Idk
Lemme check
What level is that
It looks like prexium
It is ye
The next update to be exact
Ok
Hey ninjarium777, you just got to level 3!
Didn't know it had an update
Ye you can
And if you spawn it with a toggle orb at random intervals it'll teleport you in a different direction each time
damn
Ultranox has been working on it since January
Cool
I just realized I'm your main source for 2.2 trigger knowledge lmao
