Gave 2 Exercise Points to glow (current: #10 - 2)
It’s alright, most of the shapes are quite simple here
What about the designs
It feels a bit odd to have the bright orange inside the block; since it stands out so much, it should mostly go on the outside instead
You mean this
Yeah, that orange
The rest appears in really small amounts so it doesnt really stand out as much
So what should I take a way for when I build next time
Do you think this is better
Put most of your details near the edges of your blocks, especially if they stand out
Id suggest checking out the Making Blocks guide in #1082003318932516935
@gritty yarrow
Not necessarily because it still doesnt do this
What would I do then to fill up space near the middle
Hey glow, you just got to level 2!
You dont need to, thats the thing
The middle of a block is practically unimportant
Btw ik I should put this in feedback but
What do you think of this grass design
It doesnt really look like grass at all lol
Id suggest you use the grass objects, and also get some references for how it looks
What other objects do you think would work
What objects did you use here
Grass objects, theyre in the 9th editor tab
Grass objects along with some circles for noise
Last thing
I want make more realistic styled levels
But I don’t know how I should layout where everything should be
Do you use a reference
Not taking about a gameplay layout either
Hey glow, you just got to level 3!
I dont really use references for gameplay often, no matter the type. Id suggest practicing making realistic deco first, as itll help you make informed gameplay choices later
In general you should build gp with deco in mind
