So, I was at work at the register, and someone was trying to return something. I can't remember fully what it was about, but I think she was trying to get her money back, and either the return window ended or we could only give store credit.

I had apologized about the situation, and she then said "manager." My manager came by and said the same thing, and she left in a huff. I think she even left the thing she was trying to return there. Other customers complained about her rudeness and her "Karen"- like attiude, but I ended up saying that she probably just had a bad day and that I hope it improves.

One of the older customers then called me an angel for that. I was just trying to be understanding, and more than I used to. I don't know if I deserve such high praise for doing the bare minimum, but I still appreciate the Hell out of it.

I also went to the hospital a few days ago and talked with my nurse about my growth as a person and how I want to keep working on bettering myself and be better, knowing that I made bad decisions and hurt people. She, as she left to get some hydrogen peroxide for my cuts(bike accident), she popped back in real quick to thank me for trying to do more good in the world.

Ngl, I teared up.
