While that or her parents are literally the worst business people known to man because one of them has to have a quirk that can mess with gravity so that would make stuff way easier to move

Ochako's family is poor because her parents' construction business has struggled for years, resulting in a lack of significant income. Although they run a construction company, it has not brought in enough money to provide a comfortable lifestyle.
