Following my dreams always has been something very important to me. Never giving up, always focusing on what is your life goal. And I also want to make everyone around me smile, put others first and my own interests first. Forgive even the people who did me wrong, just like he never held any grudge to Bakugo after all these years of bullying. And also accepting myself the way I am, even if I am born different than the norm, I can make friends and have a normal life.

Horikoshi used a real world issue that is present in litteraly every schools: Bullying

It's a concept anyone can understand and that a lot of people lived, and many people who went through that can find comfort in Deku's character, because he still continued to smile through his tears.

And finally, he has the same motivations as me: becoming the best version of myself and never stop improving my own person, because there's still things I can improve. It's a never ending cycle, life comes with new obstacles, and it's important to know how to overcome them, and help others to overcome them too.

His character might be bland for some people, they might not understand how Deku felt if they haven't got similar experiences than him or if they don't place others before themselves, but for those who do, Deku will forever be an unforgivable character @warm wedge
