It's so funny that the filler was the only thing giving us ochako and momo moments till this season

after having a crush and locking it away both in the same arc (which comes back to bite with toga later) she tries to do her thing but literally watches nighteye p much die in her arms, so she realizes that she wants to be a hero who can help heroes and not be useless like she was in overhaul arc, and we see in JT that she solos like 3/5 of the entire Class B team, plus helps deku putting her life at risk to snap him out of black whip

Now we see her deal with a world where people are losing hope in heroes as heroes need more support than ever so i think she'll end up being great emotional help to people like deku judging by the OP

Oh and also something something toga, she might come to the same growth as deku seeing villains as not pure evil and see em as actual people

Her season 2 growth showed her grounded motivations and her goals rly well against bakugo but all that was for was showing how she wants to grow and get stronger too so she can help people

Plus the money motivation contrasts stain's criticisms in the arc after since she's legit trying to make her family's lives better and not just hoard it and be famous or whatever

Moral of the story:

The only big example of “Hori mysogyny” imo is overhaul arc where the Ryukyu gang does literally nothing cool, but like I said Uraraka retroactively grows from that because she doesn’t wanna be useless again

Yes she's been developed and has progression but it's largely in the background and not given enough focus imo

Like in the overhaul arc it was just her having a monologue after the entire arc was over and done with

I bought the manga ( 33 no spoilers) I haven’t read it yet but I am worried that by the time the book comes out that the anime may cover that volume. So my choices are to stop watching mha until I get that volume ( note volume 34 only comes out on may 2) or I just buy it after watching it, and I feel thee is no point but I really want to start reading the manga. I haven’t read 33 yet as I want it’s save it closer to when the manga (volume 34) comes out. I basically have to wait a whole month and while that could be nice as it means I have more episodes to watch rather than just one a week and wait again, it’s just a lot to think about
