Stuff pet markets say you absolutely need! for the pet you're getting, only to later find out this shit is some of the worst you should get for your pet

E.g. 20-40gallon tanks for most reptiles, small cages for rodents, any kind of freeze dried food, reptile carpet, incorrect lamps, etc
Probably wasted over $200+ on stuff I'm now educated enough to know are not what should be used for the correct care and husbandry of reptiles and smaller mammals
Same goes for birds and how small places like Petco/PetSmart say their cages need to be

i regret paying for smash ultimate. i never played a smash game before it, i thought it looked fun, i only played 5 hours of it (including the story).
also rocket league. i paid full price for it only for the game to go free to play a month later. never touched it since.
i didn't mind paying for fall guys as i've actually played it a lot before it went free-to-play. plus we got a ton of goodies after going f2p

it allows you to connect to the internet (searching online, accessing apps requiring online) and make calls, texts without a router connection, but it can cost.. you can either go on monthly plans or pay as you go (dunno if that's the same for all but I'm familiar with that with how I buy data)

Paying for Nintendo Switch online is one of the most infuriating things ever

not only are switch games expensive as shit already with most of the main titles being in the 50-70 dollar range

you gotta pay for controllers and shit too if you want to not be burdened by the use of joycons

and god forbid the joycons potentially break
