Honestly things like dirty locations like gas station bathrooms, subways, places like New York or Toronto, or how unhappy customer service workers are. animals irl have ZERO gratitude for being helped. The smallest and tiniest of sparrows will absolutely attempt to rip your face off if you try to get something off them

Anytime a movie or show has an animal in distress and a character is like "I will HELP THEMMMMM!!!" and the animal just. Lets them. And is grateful for it??

No. I'm sorry I had to sit on a peacock to get a string wrapped around his foot that was going to result in his foot falling off, and he screamed at me the entire time. I got bit by a cat with a fishhook through her paw after she slipped the muzzle we put on, sent flying across the room by a hound dog with an infected leg, kneed in the head by a horse with a hoof abscess I was soaking, rats getting painkillers scream bloody murder at me... the list just goes on and on and on
(edit to add that I'm treating these animals as part of my job as a tech and I know what I'm doing, please don't try to treat animals in serious distress without training)

The only exception to this I can think of off the top of my head are sharks with fish hooks in their mouths that can learn to allow divers (wearing chainmail for protection!!!) to take them out. If I had to make an educated guess it's because they have a frame of reference for "helper species that take nasty things out of me" in the form of cleaner fish and ramoras that keep them clean of parasites

IRL animals do not understand that they're being helped and despise you bothering them. It's part of why vets have such high rates of depression: the animals hate them
