All stat buffs provided by Lighter exclusive to Fire and Ice DMG now also applies to Electric, Ether and Physical DMG.

For example: Elation now grants up to 75% DMG Bonus to all 5 Attributes. Morale Burst jab combos now reduce the DMG RES of all 5 Attributes by 15%.
His M1 and M2 effects also now apply to all 5 Attributes.

the thing is HSR takes huge inspirtaiton from JRPGs etc. the whole game is more story and character based and the actual endgame and gameplay loop outside of the story and lore is casual. Its not made to be a maingame like Genshin and others where dailies, weeklies etc. take a long time. You can tell that just by looking at this version's new QoL making dailies and such even shorter by adding quick farm tickets etc. The main content of HSR are the story. Amphoreus is around 50 hours in total and thats just maybe half of how long JRPG game stories are. HSR story is so much more structured like HI3 also (same writers) and Hoyo is obsessed with character writing than anything. No one is telling you to take Amphoreus in one go. It is a really good thing if Hoyo keeps it up with future stories like they did for Amphoreus in terms of length making it so we get main story every version that is atleast 4-5 hours long.

If anything actually ZZZ story has a ton of flaws. The quality of writing definitely is not even close, while yes HSR gets more complicated and depth it is still well written. We talked about this with eth before I honetly do agree the way ZZZ makes backstories is so weird and the story is mostly trauma dump like it really feels like there is nothing else going on. While I don't have any issues with Exaltists storyline, its so flawed in every way they way they are handling them and how the story is paced. ZZZ outside of story is so much more structured like HI3 in terms of being a mix of a main and side game. The game is both for casuals and people who love to grind. HSR is straight up mainly casual, the grind is literally AFK and the version content is incredibly short with dailies taking 5 minutes max. The main content is the story, you are playing main story and stuff more than your actual playtime on HSR (excluding times when they release major gamemodes such as Currency Wars atm. Those are the only times HSR has a grind audience but even then its playable casual just by doing weeklies.).

So like "HSR should make their story shorter" argument is straight up dumb for what Hoyo is selling the game as. HSR is inspired by JRPG games, the game is more story and character writing heavy than other Hoyo games. ZZZ also takes heavy focus on their character writing but the overarching plot of ZZZ is actual nothing burger and advance only every few versions. ZZZ tries to mainly sell their characters thus making their main story character backstory and writing heavy but leaving every other aspect behind or have them progress slower because they are put inbetween. HSR story takes a focus on both. Meanwhile Genshin is so much more lore and plot heavy, also having a mix of character writing inbetween connecting their stories to the ongoing plot (Nod Krai is where its mainly visible because they fused Story Quests with Archon Quest).

If anything Hoyo deciding to make Amphoreus a year length with long quests was the best decision they made for the arc.

and I hope it goes on with Edo Star. ZZZ also has been doing it with 2.X with no inbetween filler episodes but their story lenghts are so much shorter because they are character focused.

HSR requires to take their time for having a complete new setting and literally planet with entirely new lore alongside its character. Amphoreus being an isolated planet with having tons of history with characters with tons of depth, you can't just fit that all in to a quest thats ZZZ length.

oh one thing I can agree, HSR should improve and honestly is improving on how they tell the story. I think Genshin is the best middle point rn of all Hoyo games story wise. The length isnt anything too long with quests seperated by 2 acts every version and still fit the highlight character of the version's story and plot with lore well enough with good presentation and storytelling.

ZZZ is also really good with comics, cutscenes and dialogue scenes but there are so many aspects that require improvement. HSR only lacks better NPC models (they only make unique models for NPCs that appear in cutscenes atleast once) and the story being super dialogue heavy because Honkai writers love to use tons of word plays and stuff.

but 3.7 honestly was an improvement on visual storytelling with cutscenes, CGs, model movement and camere work.

also the era of black screens is over

imo HSR, a game thats still on its 2.5th anniversary and on its third major arc (also Amphoreus being the first story arc that actually moved the overarching plot forward rather than being an introduction arc like Penacony with factions) they are doing well and actually improving for how it was back in 3.0 and before

like imo Hoyo is doing a good job with HSR story releases
a gacha live service game releasing 4-8 hour long stories EVERY version, with cutscenes and tons of dialogues, art and scenes etc. listening to feedback when they are forced and make sudden changes on things (such as black screens) while also trying to fit everything they want to tell in the story (most likely still not enough because Shaoji for example has way too ambitious ideas that fall flat in reality because its too ambitious for a live service game with smaller development windows and less resources)

Yes they could improve but end of the day Hoyo and many companies are still greedy and don't care about the creative direction and ambitious plans their artists and workers in general have.

imagine Hoyo released a full game using Amphoreus story with so much higher quality and taking their development time with better resources vs HSR (a gacha live service game with less resources and smaller development time because they need to provide the playerbase a story every 2-3 months)
