with hi3rd it's not like we had many characters to begin with, for genshin it's just impossible with the progressing plot which very much has a structure of: meet new people -> get attached -> discard old for new characters -> repeat, and constant increase in characters to make all characters relevant and include them each cycle is basically impossible. and as always... the biggest thing about gacha games and people who play it in general... the moment a new character comes onto the screen 50% of people loose interest in old characters.
