I will put up that there is a big difference between your standard banner and limited banner when you come to pull - limited banners have a limited five star you can get within a set time (after that they're gone until another rerun), plus three four stars with their rates up - you use intertwined fates (pink/blue) for those.

Standard banner just had your five standard five stars (Jean, Diluc, Mona, Qiqi, Keqing) and every other four star in the game (as long as the first banner they appear on has ended, four star characters automatically move to standard) - those use acquaint fates (just blue) and can also be used on the beginner's wish banner.

Just be aware if you ever convert primos to fates that you don't confuse the two, or you might get the wrong item....
