just looking at his action skills:

so he puts burn on himself, which combos with his passive in which he gets skill impact up while burning, while decreasing the self dmg from his burn. both are AOE skills so they do insane dmg. "hellfire" is already in the game as a status ailment. instead of doing the burn dmg over multiple turns, it consumes it in one.

e.g. burn dmg does 1k every turn for 3 turns. hellfire does 3k in 1 turn, then takes the burn effect away
