What level are you

your special mode allows you to get reduced damage. it is good to use it in W or in a risky situation when you can't time your hits so you get a safe break. your q is what you need to use instead of your dodge when it's available. your opponent glares with red (signal of incoming attack), you use q, you stand still, you let the hit go through your block (your character will be invincible for a second or three), then automatically hit the opponent. then if your W was available at the moment you successfully used Q, you should use W right after successful Q - it will be instantly charged to its full and makes up for a good burst. if you are safe and got around from 5 to 7 seconds, try to headbutt your opponent with E. if you don't feel like you can do so, then use normal attacks instead.

keeping yourself in the orange bar (kirishima's passive) will change your basic combo to a follow-up -> slower hits but higher damage. first one is always following the target, kirishima dashes to the enemy. the bar can be filled (when it is empty) by using Q successfully or by going through several full basic combos.
