the tuning items like the slot upgrades, slot unlock keys, costs hero souls. and you can only get hero souls from duplicates in the rolls. and to get the tuning items, you would need a lot. but for the character data (which you get after the end of each battle) it depends. cause the characters you don't have, then the harder it gets to get enough of the said character data you need. but if you have the character for the data you need, then you'll get that data more often.
