It’s okay, I managed to make it far despite being from a similar situation to you. The only real competitive aspect of the game comes with Ultra Arena, VE Tower (ranking rewards), and the new Club Festival.
If anything, I think it’s fun to try beating the main story and other gamemodes without paying attention to the meta, it’s a good challenge.
