It's certainly something I also respect the film for doing, showing the ||side that Ming felt when she was Mei's age. I actually have a little theory on why Ming's panda was much more explosive and excessive than any of her other family members. Ming's character originated from the exact same role she tried passing down to her daughter Mei, and that was obviously being the most perfect daughter she could be for her mother. Only, instead of trying to become her own person, Ming shoved her own feelings aside and kept them inside of her this whole time because she thought all that mattered was living up to your parent's expectations. Finally when she saw first-hand how much Mei was rebelling her, that anger and frustration she kept inside of her for so many years finally exploded into the Ming we saw at the sky dome||

girls were certainly the main spotlight for the film, but speaking as a guy, I can totally see where Mei's coming from with the relationship she had with her parents in this film, cause ||I've certainly had those embarrassing moments like when Ming decided to literally approach the people she thought were being a bad influence on Mei||

Well time to list positives of the Snyder cut so far: gives cyborg alot in terms of backstory and character and it makes me more sympathetic. It also takes out the bad whedon stuff
The negatives: it's a Snyder dc film, so if you expect the heroes to not kill, they do.
The runtime, I'm almost halfway and I'm starting to feel it. I think it might take all the supes stuff I liked from the whedon scenes
