Things are working out pretty well for AFO. Even if Pop isn't dealt with, he'll get to see the full limit of Overclock. Too bad for No. 6 though. If after unlocking the full power of overclock and still failing to get Koichi, it's no wonder we don't see him in the main series. I'd also explain why Shigaraki doesn't have overclock.

It's the final arc. The main protagonist and final antagonist are fighting. Koichi can't be a vigilante anymore (the police knows his identity) and the narration at the beginning of the arc pretty much implies this is the final arc.

It could be possible that afo had stored quirks that he didn’t even use. I quote Gran Torino,”He has a completely different fighting style”. Meaning certain quirks were changed out. Who knows, maybe its just a backup quirk in AFO that he barely uses. And now that Tomura has AFO is speed should be some what enhanced.
