i think the thing that sells me on 6 vs koichi over tomura vs deku is that deku has NO real connection to tomura besides his childhood, and deku cannot reach out to tomura. it has to be spinner, toga, compress, dabi, and kurogiri who bring tomura back. meanwhile, 6 has never had anyone in his life. koichi has the ability to save 6 on his own, if 6 will listen. there's no way deku can save tomura on his own. 6 is detached from everyone, but tomura's strength lies within his bonds with the PLF

If by "too pure" you mean he's not a killer, yes. That's not Koichi's character. It never was. Koichi isn't suddenly gonna go Vegeta on No. 6. That's why the fight is going the way it is. We have Koichi who, over years, perfected his quirk (a quirk that's the perfect counter to Overclock) VS a guy falling deeper into madness due to his obsession with becoming the next O'Clock.
Koichi not only is O'Clock's true successor (KD told him), but Koichi is the one who ruined No. 6's big hero debut plan. That was his dream. His chance at having an identity. It's no wonder he's ignoring all logic to take Koichi down. BUT that will be his downfall. If this transformation doesn't work, and it won't, what else can No. 6 do? The only thing I can think is him going Full Petty Mode: either activating all his bomb cells to kill Koichi or rushing back to the hospital and doing it there to at least take out Pop to make Koichi suffer.

Logically, I dont see how they continue this as Number 6 is approaching his final form and Koichi is basically almost there. But you have to factor everyone else... Soga? where'd he go. Makoto? is she coming to Japan? Kazuho? Is she ok? We also don't have any updates on the Pro Heroes fighting the Anonymous (inbox their moving so fast, it feels like forever but its one minute in story @ Koichi/Number 6)

Kazuho knows something about 6 and she wouldn't be at risk if 6 wasn't afraid of it being spilled. If this was the finale, Kazuho would be awake by now and there would be no risk for her life. We also don't have 6's backstory yet, which is not only critical to his character and how others interact with him, but is potentially critical to the entirety of AFO's supply of bioweapons.
Kazuho's gonna wake up and spill whatever 6 is trying to kill her over, and then that moves the story to the real final act. Plus, we still need Iwao to show up again.

Six’s basic quirks were regeneration, self detonation, electromagnetic waves and he later gained bomify and Over clock.
Bomber cells created the bombify quirk. Combing bombify with Self detonation and Hyper regeneration explains how he is able to alter his body into Hi-Crawler
