they're only there to reinforce the fact that 6 is not human, and will never be accepted as human by anyone, as sad as that is

overclock will be the end of him, one way or another. rather it be because it kills him, because kd comes back to kill him, or that he slips so far due to having it that afo has to terminate him

I don't remember that, I'll have to reread that chapter because if No. 6 has simply regeneration, he should still die from excessive injury. Look at him now. I doubt making his body mostly bomber cells was a welcomed option. He probably needed to do so because he got so messed up from Endeavor's attack and regen alone was enough to bring his back to 100%.
