So before the gray bar it didn’t show you that destined death reduces HP bars.

So say like a boss has a 100 HP bar.

And let’s say destined death reduces it by like 30%.

So on the old system it didn’t look like the HP bar moved when you applied it. It looked like just a normal HP bar.

This caused problems cause people thought it healed bosses. Let’s say you damaged a 100hp bar boss down to 70 hp. If you apply destined death, the HP bar looked like it actually recovered health. Cause it’s showing a 70 HP bar when you damaged it down to 70.
