People did not like valorant's anticheat because it was (and is) a Ring 0 system, meaning it works from the core of your pc, (where all the administrator stuff is, aka that gets corrupted your pc is done), AND it was always running even when valorant wasnt. So they changed it to where you can turn it off but to play valorant, you have to restart your pc to have the anticheat turn on again
