look for the tower with a flight of stairs in it at the courtyard beyond pontif there's a secret wall that will take you to a ladder go down it and kill the two Beasts(who don't respawn if killed and you'll get the ring there will also be a bonfire down there when the beasts are dead

I would say prob check the bare minimum for some spells and start leveling faith and Int by equal amounts ever so often.
Sacrificing too much into them might mess up your later hp/stamina bar/strength damage if you need them later.
If I were to say a general rule for minimum your int/faith should be half or a third of your main attack stat (strength in this case).

Course you can also build according to known softcaps, which are the points where leveling stats show a bit of diminishing returns.
I believe both strength and dex have softcaps at 40 so if you wanted more stuff in pyromancy/health/stamina you could level those and close the distance.

Definitely dodge into most of them though. I know it’s obvious, but I also on instinct dodge away. Dodging into strikes makes sure that your invincibility frames experience less of his active frames on attack. Dodging away makes sure you experience the most active frames and will often catch your roll. And that’s just in general of bosses. It looks like the scariest option, but is often the best you can do.
Course definitely don’t dodge into strikes you know will last long like certain fire breath moves haha.

I spent a few hours grinding the dark knights outside of the other fire link so I could get my dex to 18 so I could use artorias's sword
I have his sword at max which makes it better than my current sword but if I equip it, it makes me too heavy with my armour

The “flame” that keeps the age of fire/light/gods(?) needed more fuel to keep going. It does this by what is called “linking” the first flame in which you use your soul to preserve it. So the previous lords are brought back to link the fire to preserve it with that bell in the beginning of the game due to Lothric chickening out. But they’re all like “Nah fam. All my homies hate having their souls burned” and ditch the fire. You meanwhile are collecting their heads for pansying out and burning them by force.
