The Final Shape did end the first saga but left so many questions and unknown. Destiny's lore and worldbuilding is like massive too. Just ending the franchise here when nothing has been solved yet would be a huge waste because the devs mentioned there was so much more planned to come and even previous expansions like Lightfall were supposed to be bigger and shocking rather than the flop it was.

if you don’t wanna use SP items (i’m sure you know this but) you can use a Go Home (or however they spell it in the game) and if you leave the dungeon and come back another day, all your health and SP is restored
