MY PERSONAL OPINION ⚠️
||I genuinely hated persona 3, I went into it expecting to love it since a lot of people regard it as the best in the series, and I had already played 1 2 4 and 5. Holy shit was I floored by how terrible the game was. By the time I got to october 4th I was just about done, throughout the entire game the narrative neglected to incentivize you to genuinely care for the characters or build a connection with them, you have no idea why you’re in this organization, you have no idea why you’re fighting, and you have no idea what tartarus is!!! I love a good mystery, but I need to be somewhat incentivized to actually learn what it is? And persona 3 genuinely made no attempt to engage you in that 😭. Every time I told someone I hated persona 3 they assumed I just skipped through the dialogue or something because for whatever reason some persona 3 fans find it impossible to understand why some people just do not like the game. Tartarus is boring, and no, I will not give them credit because of the time period and how they were “doing what they can with what they had” because that’s just factually untrue and anyone who’s played games from that era know how much better other titles were. I spent hours in that stupid endless staircase for literally no reason, I wasn’t having fun, I wasn’t being made to think, I wasn’t strategizing, I was just endlessly running around. They really went quantity over quality with the social links because there are so many and most of them are boring asf.||
