she actually is a legit character in marvel comics as the daughter of Galactus, but needless to say she's not as known as her father. In my understanding, Galacta was initially a part of Galactus at one point, but she split apart from him into the manifestation of a teenage girl on earth. She's not like her dad who destroys galaxy after galaxy, but she does consume other alien life forms who pose as a threat to Earth to satisfy her hunger. Judging from the lore of Marvel Rivals, it would appear she's trying to keep the time stream in check after some collision causing heroes from other dimensions to pour out, while her father intends to do the opposite to satisfy his hunger.

They literally hit the jackpot with Splatoon in every way.
Also it's their only game that gets the most frequent content updates for a long term.
Since Nintendo likes to bring new content to their games only by making DLCs or Animal Crossing. Splatoon is the only one that truly gets new stuff occasionally every month or so and with Splatfests.
Also the way they let the players choose the next game's theme as the final Splatfest (final content update) as an excuse to make a new game is smart.
So they basically continue the "story" of the game by making a new Splatoon game as an excuse so they don't have to continue updating the same game for years and have it in their next gen console.
