His skill cooldowns are short and he can pretty much use them after he combos. His rapid strike is really a 4 hit combo that you can infinitely extend by rapidly pressing it. He has a finisher he can do that deals high burst at any point in the rapid strike.
So I just use skills and do maybe some rapid strikes? And then finisher. Plus he gets a freeze skill and a dodge skill that basically makes him untouchable like Morag.

I’ll at least describe my four mains that I semi-know how to play.
Lancelot: High mobility, with a lotta dodges. As you saw he has a mash combo if he chooses, and his alternate attack is basically a free dodge. This can either be his finisher or a reposition. So his game plan is to deal constant damage. He has skills that support this with a gap-close, an AoE, a Single Target, a dodge safety net, a ranged option, a freeze to let OTHERS damage the boss while you hold them, a double hit, and one other skill I forgot? You only get slots for skills though so the above video has me using his gap closer, his freeze, his AoE, and his dodge safety net.
Okay maybe I shouldn’t describe the other 3 since Lancelot is already pretty long.
Point being all the characters are very different and very customizable based on how you wanna play’em.

If pure magic, you might like Io. She is purely magic based which allows her to charge a four tick gauge that will let her charge up a large, high damage spell that slams gravity? Light? On the enemy.
Cagliostro is also a possibility since she is a melee mage that has a charge attack that is ranged. A lotta of her moves are based around getting you to that charged attack/spell fast.
If you are a Vergil fan, Narmaya is also the most obvious choice lol.

Siegfried is based on perfect attack timing and super armor. His combo basically gives him invincibility frames if timed right (hitting the next attack right when you hit an enemy with the previous attack) and if you hit ALL of them perfectly you will be able to do a finisher that deals heavy damage. His skills are based on dealing damage/heavy stun - and can give debuff immunity and lifesteal. Which is pretty goated for fights with freeze.

IMO It’s really fun. There’s a lot of build variety with the characters if you aren’t a numbers chaser.
And IMO has some of the best environmental bosses in the story I’ve seen for a long time.
The story itself is short, probably like… 20 hours at most? But you are most likely going to play online for a lot longer lol
And if you don’t wanna play online, that’s also an option.
Because the game was also designed to be offline.
Such so that if something happens online like your wifi goes out it will automatically transition you to offline.
Which I haven’t seen in a long while LOL.
So you’ll still get the full experience offline. It’s just that you’ll have to semi-gear 4 characters instead of concentrating on 1. So Online will probably have “faster” mission completes.
Depending on the mission.
The AI in the game survive better than online players, because they actually care to LOL. So if you have online players dying left and right, you’ll probably have some failed missions online.

yea its worth it, imma be real i dont think the games all that hard, theres some annoying enemies and some of the bosses are hard but early game you can go pretty far without upgrades and it wont make too much of a difference
i think the hardest part is definitely optional stuff and the only mandatory part thats considered hard probably universally are watcher knights but thats after the first few bosses
plus if you like exploring the map and everything youll find items to sell and stuff you need for upgrades and shit
