its because they never marketed it or ever improved it. They just abonded it after its first few years and after like Chapter 1-2. Also mainly because its paid and not f2p, alongside with the game's majority player base containing kids it just got left behind because of how much money they made from BR. Also since STW might not have some kid friendly content since its focused on creepy looking zombies and the story content being rather diffirent compared to BR's.

people also seem to be not aware you can litteraly grind VBucks from STW, even if its not a huge amount it gives you enough to buy a BP or even a skin bundle if you grind enough.

its just the fact its so grindy that it makes the game so boring. If they ever improved on the gameplay and the grind, it would do good.

its just sad to see how STW was Fortnite's whole main thing and they just completely forgot about it.
