In terms of strictly gameplay, if you’ve played any Musou games I’d describe it as an RPG developed using a Musou engine.
While traditional Musou games are usually enemy spam with a focus on Zone control in a single map - this one instead puts specific encounters in the map with a boss usually in there that would give you some trouble if you just spam.
Graphics aren’t gonna blow you away.
The game pushes you to NG+ because what people would consider the better/true ending is there. And you have some reason to do NG+ not just for the ending but because you get to keep your endgame mechanics/moveset once in NG+.
Story-wise, nothing too complex concerning the main plot. I at least think so lol, but that could just be me having known how traditional Fate handles stuff that I can more easily follow it… but I sorta doubt it.
The combat start simple at first since you have… one magic spell and 2 stances in the beginning, but that opens up as you progress.
I’d say it’s pretty fun. Nothing like ground-breaking there. Just a simple combat system that lets you do more as it goes on. Especially since it’s built with a Musou engine so you’re combos basically consist of certain light attacks into a heavy. Nothing complex about that other than some strings are better for area clear than single target lol
But yeah I think that covers most of what you’d want to know unless you have another question lol

Yeah. I’m the same lol. I think one of the main reasons I didn’t do it in the first run was because Alphen burn out tbh LOL. And the fact that my game, at least, was a lot of CP and money budgeting. So that got annoying LOL.
I do get the design though. They did make the items and money MATTER because you can’t just hoard them due to the need for you to do it now or restart a while back. But man does it not leave you with a lot of money to spend.
