So I'm watching a Let's Play of Me and My Katamari and... I actually rescind my statement from a month or so back. I do think it'd be a good idea to have it get a proper remake. It has a fascinating game play concept of time of day and season changes depending on how fast or slow you reach goals, collect certain items, and even which way you're facing. It turns out it's got a lot more going on under the hood than it appears to, and most of the complaints from people came from the hardware limitations of the PSP; poor draw distance and controls.
It even brought back the "named characters" collectables and introduced the "three equipable items" system the later games held onto, and introduced some pretty cool cousins... and Pokkle

And you also end the fight with about the same amount of soul you started with

So it won't affect the strats for sly
