reading the blog post, you can tell they are aware of the feedback and the problems going on with the game rn. They are just incredibly slow about it and don't communicate

also technically Halloween event already had a free skin. New Reaper skin from log in and old Winston halloween skin via twitch drops. I am guessing this was already gonna be a thing with the Reaper skin but ended up as a free log in skin as an apology reward about the release of the game.

so they are just saying this as if its a new plan they made for upcoming stuff.

"For Season 3 and beyond, we’re looking at a mix of Battle Pass changes, more interesting Challenges to pursue, and more exciting play-focused progression systems for you all to dig into. We’ll be able to talk about some of these changes soon, but other changes may take more time to lock-in."
