They are a polish indie developer that specializes in psychological horror.

They've created a number of classic, thoughtful games that generally look rather stunning, on the other hand their general themes make alot of people hate them.

Observer, Layers of Fear come to mind; both games created an instant cult following and were widely acclaimed.

The only remasters they've done before are of their own original games.

I've generally been a fan of Bloober's work and style, and I like how on the Layers of Fear 2 trailer the top comment(from three years ago) is somebody saying how this game makes them think of Silent Hills.

I think they'll know what to do with the remake.

I've seen people call them unoriginal, and I disagree very strongly.

Bloober is generally very post-modern, the narrative grows uncertain, the narrator is unreliable and the perspectives are confusing.

The protagonist is often depraved, mentally ill or traumatized and they make it hard to draw a line between what is a delusion and whatever is actually happening.

And they mix this in with surrealist scares, strange setpieces and graphics that match the AAA tier.

For an indie developer, they are definitely above-par.
