I honestly prefer Splatoon 3's story mode hundred times more. Splatoon 2 and 1 story modes are pretty much the same but 2 is improved with well overall. 3 is a whole new thing with bosses and areas. Its clearly inspired from OctoExpansion and I love it for that. Its also apperantly the ending for this saga of Splatoon so they did it justice.

also they used the story mode for Splatoon 3 to flex their new smooth character animations. Its so refreshing to see Marie and Callie etc. in smoother animations with more expressions and emotions.
