Hmm…

In terms of combat this is definitely one of the best ones. So that gets a ~9.

In terms of story, some chapters are definitely crazy. Though I think I might agree that 1’s is probably better in a cohesive story standpoint. So that would be like 7-8/10.

Overall then would probably be ~8.

I’ll also say for a Xenoblade game the sidequests are less “filler”. Almost all of the hero quests are plot related, and the rest of them are slight world building.

Nope. Blades work differently in Xeno 3. Everyone has them this time around. And the “blade” race from XC2 are their own thing now and don’t need a driver. Those 2 being Mio and Sena.
