The few moments when the show delibaretly depicts him having human reaction like to Soldier Boys weird comment on the phone, Storm Fronts insane qoute to Ryan and once again Soldier boys weird comment in the final season when Hes woken up, I thought was all subtle build up to something and we finally actually see the affects of voughts inhumane experiments on John, but nope jusr make him comically worse and worse
The final season made a genuinely interesting villain into just a simple “hey let me prove how irredeemable he is!!” When he was already iron clad irredeemable
