It started when I went to Walmart and got the Dr Pepper knockoff, "Dr Thunder" (pictured below) and made it a joke here. Practically the next day, Jala made his nickname Dr thunder for an unrelated reason, and it became a joke through gifs (pictured below) that Dr thunder was a sort of villain of series general. Then mook found an image of the other 2 main soda knockoffs of Walmart, twist up and mountain lightning (pictured below). It then started to branch out in the realm of developing characters to match these sodas, and it has evolved into supersodas, a hypothetical series about this universe.
