Looking back, seeing Aoyama look so sad during the camp when he has to look after Hagakure and Jiro after they're knocked unconscious by the gas, I realized he was crying not so much out of fear, but because of the fact that he hated that he was forced to be cause of everything.

I love that, even though we didn't see him interact with everyone, it still shows that everyone still saw him as a close friend and/or ally, and so they were all truly affected when he was revealed as the traitor.

Another thing I'll always love about the series is that they did their best to give everyone a chance to shine somewhere, even if they hadn't had as much time to do so beforehand.
