Once my dad made my mom and me go on a nighttime marine tour where you walk along the beach to see sea turtles laying eggs and interacting with each other ( we didn't really wanted to go but we did anyways) The whole thing was in the dark and there were turtles everywhere. If you didn’t keep up with the group and walk fast you’d fall behind. We were only allowed to use red light because artificial light can disorient the turtles.
The problem was that the turtles were HUGE and there were literally dead turtles all over the place. It wasn't hard to trip over one if you weren’t careful and staying with the group. At one point, I fell behind in the middle of the dark beach and had to shout for them to come back for me because I was scared bro, seeing turtles alive, dead, and just lying there sleeping all around you in total darkness being 9 years old was super creepy 😭
