Okay, but for real, Bakugo's bullying didn't affect Deku as much as some people would have wanted, but sadly it's a bit "realistic" in terms of how bullying victims act in real life, they just accept it and don't talk about how much it affects them mentally. Bakugo's bullying made Deku someone who doesn't value himself much, and that's something he carries throughout the entire series, even after Deku and Bakugo buried the hatchet. It's obvious that at first Deku didn't want to be near Bakugo, but he still respects him as someone strong and as someone who was his friend at one point.

I guess it's a natural product of being the greatest hero. People say that Deku under-reacted to bakugo and let him off too easy, but he's THE most empathetic person there is. More or less the only people he doesn't at least partially forgive/feel for/understand is AFO, Muscular and Overhaul whom are remorseless mad murders, so it makes sense he wouldn't resent his bully that much

I kind of disagree. Bullying is abuse and usually causes people to become angry and wrathful people who feel the need to react to everything because they think everyone is against them. Deku did not react much because he was raised to be inassertive since early childhood. He didn't have a present father figure, he was mostly raised by just his mom, and he never had powers so he was just taught to take it. He grew up admiring all might though so he never lashed out. His mom is also very sensitive so he got that from her

I do wish he reacted a bit more though because it gets irritating seeing him constantly praise his bully, but that's not the point of his character. In the end, bakugo apologized and became a better person, and he definitely got his punishment for it many times so that's all that matters
