Well, it’s a prequel that’s set five years prior to the main series. It’s centered on a group in hero society known as vigilantes: those who engage in hero activities, but without being officially licensed.

The concept was teased in the main show, as Deku, Iida, and Todoroki were technically acting as vigilantes when they fought Stain, as they weren’t licensed back then.

And yet people call Deku a Vigilante during the Dark Hero arc when he had his license 😭

The five year timestamp I think is wrong because ||we see that when O’clock’s quirk is stolen, AFO has no face. The afo all might fight was five years before mainline, and Aizawa describes O’clock as having stopped renewing his license a ‘few years back.’ So Vigilantes has to be closer to mainline than that||

IIRC, AM vs AFO was 5 to 6 years before MHA. So long as the start of Vigs happened within a year of ||O'clock losing his quirk||, it shouldn't be an issue on the timeline.

Considering ||Vigs gets a 3 year time skip later||, it would be rough for it to not take place 5 years prior to MHA

I did some timeline math a while ago and found that || the skip has to be 2.5 years ish instead of a full 3, so that gives it more leeway (using the fact that sky egg was around Christmas, Koichi’s birthday, and that final performance is in early summer)||

Some of these complaints are kind of valid but to put it bluntly I don't care at all, I've been a fan of My Hero Academia Vigilantes since 2018 and we hoped for an anime adaptation for so long so I could care less about any animation being quote on quote "fake" or being reused since some of it has been but I really don't care or mind, I'm just so happy that the anime exists and is good and the cast is great for both the sub and the dub I couldn't couldn't ask for more the anime is literally a dream come true it's literally what me and lots of people I've talked to dreamed about happening so I just can't be more happy with what we have.

The point of the streams is to have it shown to a bunch of fans upon release so they can discuss it, and I know the server well enough that I highly doubt we'd get really anyone to join this late in the day.
I have means to watch it other ways, and I was actually going to head to bed shortly since I work in the morning. So if the entire reason for the stream if just me, I think we can just skip
