I doubt they would. I would think changing the animation style between seasons would irritate a lot of people. Not saying it would be bad to, I wouldn't be against it, but I just think most people wouldn't like it.

Also it is noteworthy to say that vigs is animated by bones film, its the daughter company of bones. So its a completely different group of animators and stuff and the regie is also by the same guy that did jjba and (cowboy bebop ?) <- not 100% sure

The anime of vigilantes has proportions more accurate to Horikoshi’s than Bettens, so in a weird way I find the vigilantes anime to look more like an anime of Horikoshi’s than the main series does

I will die on the hill that MHA’s anime adaptation is basically on par with Naruto’s. Like you can tell what it’s based off of, but it is not the authors artstyle. (Kishimoto even changed his art style to better fit with the anime, which is why Naruto looks the way it does in the manga post anime debut)

few yeara ago a friend of mine randomly found the 1st chapter of vigs in a random bookstore in turkey and he recommended it to me, since then we were always talking about it and tbh i never met someone else that reads or even knows about vigs until i joined this server and even here it was a bit of an unknown part until the anime came out

Just saying, Vigilantes fans have been very cocky all these years, i'm not impress that it's finally bitting them, i know it sound very hypocritical since i always hate missinformation and bad faith criticism but it was time Vigilantes fans get out of their comfort zone.

Beside is so odd saying Vigi doesn't commit the same mistakes as main when Vigi mistakes are arguably worse. Like the only thing i would say Vigi is better is the small cast and even that is not big of a brag cuz most of them are absent most time of the story

The Soga critique has been done so many times, and I agree it’s not good writing, and I ||don’t like the racist overtones of some of the later villains||, but when I was watching main MHA I had a few things I wish it did more- mainly focus less on the students and delve more into hero society. I think Vigilantes scratched that itch, and I just like the cast way better personally. It’s not fair to say that Vigs fans have been cocky when main series fans love to put anyone down who likes it better for their own reasons.

Look men, i really don't wanna sound mean or be disrespectful, i actually "liked" Vigilantes even if i have my HUGE wrips with it.

But there was always that itch that didn't allow me to fully enjoy the series, you know why? Is because for years people have always use Vigilantes as a way to dunk on Main series, you like Vigi more than MHA? Perfect, ok i can respect that opinion.

Is like Vigilantes CAN'T stand up on it feet without being endless compare to main when Vigilantes CAN, for both good and bad reasons.

Like is so obvious people who hype Vigilantes are either MHA haters or ex-fans who where salty cuz Horikoshi didn't use their AO3 fanfic for the series.

"Koichi is Deku but good!"
"Knucklesduster is what Deku should have been!"
"The MHA characters are better use in Vigilantes than in main!"

"MHA but good/better" you better back up that statement cuz if Vigilantes can't even top USJ or Sport Festival then we have a problem here that last thing is more subjective too

And we are gonna ignore how youtubers, reddit or any big anime comunitty also sell Vigilantes that way? Mother Based did exactly that just to say "Oh is just that i drop MHA" come on dude....

Like if i had to count how many Vigilantes fan that don't use the series to dunk on main i can do it with one hand!

But you know what? I can understand that statement, Vigilantes best arcs ||let's just erased Mirko from Masquerade and is a 9/10 arc|| drop in a very bad time for MHA, the anime was dropping in quality, the manga was being controversial every week and it was the time when a lot of MHA Content Creators give the series the back shoulders, of course people would think Vigi is better with all that shit going on in Main Series Land.

And thats is funny because under that logic then Vigilantes lie in the name cuz ||they are only 4, arguably 5 Vigilantes in thr whole series and Koichi is the only one doing the Vigilantes stuff after Act 1 who is treat more as a joke within the narrative until that detail becomes relevant in the epilogue||

Again, last thing i wanna be is a mean or disrespectful person.

You like Vigilantes more than main? Ok fine you are in your right to do it since Art is subjective at the end of the day.

But also understand WHY the MHA vs Vigilantes discourse is this way.

You see people using other prequels like Better Call Saul or Red Dead Redemption 2 to dunk on their predecesors? No you don't

I would have love to like Vigilantes more cuz it had so much good stuff in it, but that detail of being always use to shit on main avoid me to like it more.

but i honestly do think that vigilante is better than the main series, or lets phrase it differently, i liked it more than the main series because my biggest problem with mha is that it has so many characters that dont get that much focus (which is understandable because they arent that relevant) but they are portrayed as if they were really relevant, for an example half of class A, and for me its just that i like it better if there are very few characters which get more focused on.

i also like the setting in vigs more, it feels more mature and the humor doesnt feel that childish even tho it is.

People sell Vigilantes as a better, more mature, more serious version of MHA just to find a very slice of life type anime with some hype moments, not saying it as a bad thing too.

Like all the Vigilantes hype is more people just want to call MHA’s “Baby’s first anime” and less how good Vigilantes actually is.

Again if you like Vigilantes more for that reasons then sure be my guest i can see it, it just confused me more than anything

I hope Season 2 gets confirmed as soon as Season 1 is over but I also hope they don't rush it. There is so many stuff I want to see animated in this same quality and direction/style

the adaptation is exceeding my expectations from a Vigilantes anime I imagined years ago

I kinda hope the final MHA season took some from Vigilantes and uses onomatopoeia more often etc aswell or atleast some stylization in the animation direction and scenes. Considering its the final season, its prob gonna be a higher quality season than ever before with lower episode count too. I still like main series animation and direction in general as they also still use onomatopoeia as a stylization but way rare and sometimes just never. It started in 1A vs 1B but pretty sure that arc was the most they used it and never again. Vigilantes is rn using it like everywhere, not only that also scenes when the screen goes like manga/comic panels (this episode heroes appearing scene).

Main series would rock this style

The comic book style fits MHA so much, especially I remember when they used it in an OP I forgot which one. I was screaming because its exactly what I have been asking for in MHA anime. I was also very happy when I first saw onomatopoeia. Vigilantes is like a dream come true.

thats definitely Takahiko Yoshida's influence though. Coming from an anime like JoJo's where onomatopoeia is used very frequently with so many diffirent directions in the anime and art style, it makes sense him directing Vigilantes has the similar effect.

whoever got him to be the director of this adaptation hit gold

especially since his really most known work since JoJo Part 1 is well, JoJo. Its so random to see him work for MHA so suddenly, especially since main series director is diffirent. Though Vigilantes animation team is also seperate from main series anyways.

They are even under a diffirent label which is just a name but like still.
