Some of them might count as a started game and will add to your suicide count
Example are the sandbox solo killer crashes from yesterday, getting stuck during a server restart, game getting stuck at the countdown and then leaving, closing the app ad not being able to join back to your active game
If something like this happens, you could report it in #bugs-readonly so we can inform the devs to fix it, or we can let you know the best way to handle it, which might avoid a suicide increase

There's a long standing rumor that action isn't taken unless there's a 75% report rate in the lobby (12 of 16)
So reporting is never enough tbh if it's true.
I lost track of how many times I've seen people messaging in a language I didn't understand. For all I know they could have been threatening someone else and the one receiving the threats may not have spoken English to be able to ask for others to report.
So I hope that 75% is just a rumor and not actually a fact.
Either way, the game notifies you if action is taken when you report someone, so I expect that you should see that notification soon at any rate ๐๐

Hypothetically, if I were in the lobby with that person and they were writing in German insulting and/or threatening me and I don't understand them, but if the above person was in there also and wrote to me telling me what they were saying and I reported them, nothing would be done unless they reach 12, but to everyone else in the lobby, they don't know who to believe. Same with me.
I'm sorry, I understand that it's a matter of manpower having to go through reports, but every report should be examined. At least randomly check them. Don't just wait until 12 people decide to feel like reporting someone.
I personally have just left lobbies because someone else was being obnoxious or ignorant, whether they were reportable or not is besides the point. That's true for so many people. They just leave instead of reporting

@void latch the system is in place for various reasons but if you start to think about it, 12 reports is not that much.
- Lets say that someone is spamming in the chat. This annoys most players and will likely result in more than 12 reports -> checked
- Lets say that someone is speaking German and only 6 reports are made. -> checked after 2 games
- Lets say that someone is only slightly annoying and 1 - 2 reports are made -> checked after 6 - 12 games
This system allows the guardians to deal with the serious offenses pretty much instantly and the "smaller offenses" when they happen regularly.
the system fails if people do not report though. Then we do not have an indication where the problem is and cannot do anything about it. If we were to force the guardians to handle every single report, 2 things happen that we do not want:
- They get overloaded in small things (and false reports) and do not have time for serious offenses
- Someone who made a single mistake with a role for example could get banned while it maybe was their second game :shrug:
For smaller offenses, action should only be taken if they continue.
For (very) serious offenses, there is the alternative route of reporting to a guardian directly AFTER reporting in game. You can find instructions on how to do that and the offenses that are eligible in #ingame-reports-archieved (last message)
The report in game is needed to gather the chat logs of that game. For legal reasons, we need those. There is no discussion there.

It takes ~10min to check everything and ban/unban someone. Give them more time and maybe more respect and hopefully you could get what you want

i spoke to a guardian last night, and i was told calling it out was insulting? rather than reporting, which I did, and being quiet about it. that isn't something i should be quiet about, i apologize, but I cannot stand by and ignore it. there's so much more on this game, so many being edgy and putting racist names, homophobic names, etc, and we report em every time, not sure if anything has been done yet..
but i am the person who contacted a guardian. they pulled up some other messages that had insults in them, and i haven't done any recently, because i respect the rules, but most aside from the ones calling them out, were towards friends, i knew personally, and very well
