Farming is custom games, they are allowed cause they take long and don't give win rates.
Boosting is done in other game modes; so this unfairly affect win rates, gives lots of xp and people there break the rules to make the game end soon. That is why they're not allowed.

Yo. Does spirit seer see wolves as blue if they used Frenzy to kill?
Just had a game where spirit seer in Ranked claimed that 13 and 14 (both wolves - they ended up winning) showed blue, meaning they did not kill, just after a frenzy took place taking out all protectors. Spirit seer was very confused at the end of the game so I have reason to believe they did not gamethrow, and another user claimed that werewolves did not kill if it was a frenzy.
Additionally 14 was the berserker wolf
