Oh my gosh, i have so many questions. I have played a few rounds, but my head is spinning.

Everyone seems to know things. I was so lost.

On the avatar screen, I see lots of icons (e.g. the gun shows up), but I don't know who put it there - is it automatic? Is this the player telling others what their role is? Does it come up when the seer discovers their role?

the gun shows up when the gunner shoots ♥️ it is automatic, but theres other reasons why icons might pop up, such as:
the player got revealed by the pacifist
the player is the gunner and shot someone
the player is the priest and threw holy water on someone
the player died in some way (lynch, corrupt, killed, etc)

I have played the priest twice, and the doctor twice, and the jailer once. I didn't really know what to do as the jailor. If I jail the seer - can they still do seer stuff?

yep! the icon shows their role, and you can tap it for more information about that role
and yes, they can participate in the day chat as well ^^ a key part of the game is to trick the villagers into thinking you're also a villager
if you jail someone, they can't do anything for the night. if you find someone suspicious, you can shoot them by pressing the bullet at the bottom ♥️

But the jailer is not safe.

yep! the jailed person is safe from werewolf attacks, solo killer attacks, and sect and zombie conversions
the jailer is not safe unless a protecting role (such as tough guy, doctor, or bodyguard) protects them at night

when it says that someone commited suicide -- that just means they left the game by non-game reasons (lagged out, closed the app down, etc).

yep, players "commit suicide" when they exit the game. offline players automatically suicide after about 2 or 3 days of being offline ^^

its a lot to take in, but you'll get the hang of it soon! I recommend playing quick game first because it's slower-paced in my opinion, and easier for newer people to learn
