Ahh, this is just too cute! ❤ The ribbed texture definitely helped add more depth and balance to the overall outfit! I love the chunky shading you used for the hair, it keeps it very playful and feminine! The chubby cats just make this even better, but do you happen to have a version without them so we can see the sleeves better? OMG THOSE SLEEVES ARE EVERYTHING. 😭❤❤❤ They're so soft looking and match the ribbed neck perfectly! I love how long and poofy they are too, perfect for some cozy vibes! The colorblocking works well here, you used a beautiful palette for the shading. The cats do take up a lot of that room and don't allow you to fully showcase the sleeves, you might want to consider turning the cats into a background instead of a fg but that would be more for the preview. As is, it's gorgeous and shouldn't have any problems getting in-game!

The lace work is amazing and looks so realistic, the straps are feminine and would look amazing with literally anything. They're perfectly positioned and add a lot of needed texture, along with that beautiful heart stitching! ❤ Since the sleeves are so wide and poofy, I think the plaid is the better option. It gives the entire outfit more life and a very vintage/cottagecore feel to the skin if that's what you're going for! Thinning out the plaid would actually help you keep those adorable sleeves without having to change them! You could add a darker and lighter shade of pink to the stripes to give it extra dimension and make it look smaller due to shading, or do a smaller design with those two pinks. It would let you keep those pretty shades and add even more stripes without taking away the sleeves. These two are just some patterns that I thought felt pretty enough for your outfit.

Ayee this is such a good idea, I see this is a wip soo probably u can make the uh idk whats that called to be a bit transparent, u know so u can see through it 🐬 and if you are going for white color if u can refrain from using grey, instead use like pale blue but really pale so it will be bright and colorful. Feel free to apply this advice on shadings🐬 and yes add more shadow and highlight for the honey so itll look like real honey than yellow paint 🐬 well thats my opinion, cant wait to see the finished ver! This is definitely a good wip so far! I love the idea, somehow we don't have a beekeeper skin yet, so I can see this being a cute gold quest! Like Dolphin suggested though, the face shield would look better transparent, like they actually are. It would allow you to play around with facial expressions too which could add a nice little story too! You would also benefit from a paler shading color on the shield, whether that's a pale blue or a very light grey! The honey drips could also use some basic shading and highlights to make it look runny and sticky, like honey normally is. Adding depth to a basic skin is what gives it more life! ❤ I'm willing to see how you continue on with this idea, I hope it turns out for you!

I looked at some references of those bee shields and you're right, blue shading would look very off on it. The blue shading is usually reserved for plastic items but the few skins I managed to find in-game with net/fabric shields have varied. There's some with very bright colors or medium/dark greys. That's really up to you. I personally think the white shield would work better in that it lets doesn't make the rest of suit look amazingly bright and it doesn't drown out any other colors you planned on using for the bg/fg. It's just a solid neutral. Grey here makes the suit stand out a lot more, but might take over your smaller, subtle shading or small details you might add later. Dark colors tend to dominate if the overall drawing is simple.

Mmmm okay, I was kind of thinking make it a clanquest item because a suit like this is kind of gender neutral, I could make one in another color too tho. The most used are white but there are also some yellow ones.

Maybe I could tune down the brightness of the white with the darker shield and try that

If you go for the darker shield, maybe try playing with an off-white for the suit. A very light yellow/cream would more than likely help make the suit look a little sun-bleached too, along with adding a better, not as bright contrast lmao.

Since actual gradients aren't allowed in-game, you would want to work with a simple color pallete to make sure it's shiny and runny. Something like this would work. A solid yellow like you have, the medium yellow on the edges, medium brown under the yellow, and the darker brown on the very edge where the drips are. The white would also be on the edges. Honey is viscious so all the heavy colors are on the very edge instead of something like water where the shading is concentrated more in the middle. It's pretty easy to overdo it, but I think it would add a that needed realistic touch!

Oooh, that isn't bad at all! I would add a third color to the bottom like a lighter version of the orange you have here just to add an extra "sticky" look and add the white highlight to the edge. Honey is shiny all the way through, not just the very top of the spots!

@gentle escarp has a way better version of what I tried to explain, but this is also a stock version if it helps! But see the fake gradient in both of them? The light to medium to dark spectrum is what makes honey look sticky/slimy. It's all stacked on top of each other to make it look thick.

I honestly loved the previous eyes, more so for the color choice. You have an amazing eye for color pallets and do them such justice! I really think you could use both backgrounds, they each have their appeal. The sunset one makes the rest of the skin blend into it since they share the same colors, but makes it look super dreamy and watercolor and the blue sky gives the skin a much brighter appearance. I love them both. 😭❤❤❤ There's always ways you can make them more unique too separate them, adding more colorful butterflies around her, adding cute cloud shapes, it's really up to you! But I'm just gonna sit here and drool over how utterly pretty your work is!

I'm so blind, I didn't even see that you literally said it was honey! So to me, it definitely does look a little wonky like you said. I think the culprit is the left side of it. It doesn't have the same "weight" or balance that the rest of the splat does and it does look overly shiny.

You can change this a couple of ways, I think the better way would be to use a more neutral color pallet that way the shiny parts (bright orange) don't look as bright. It would tone the overall splat down and maybe even make it look a little flat, which can help in simple skins. Too much detail against something plain looks odd. But flat detail against plain just looks very simple and pretty. You can also move the current shading around, add some more white highlights to the left end, take some away from the right to even out the weight. The orange "blob" shading could go, so you can make more room on the bottom drips for line shading like you already have here. Or even just changing the shape to a smaller splat might help. Sometimes bigger things just look weird on skins and resizing helps!

They match the the lace details really beautifully! ❤ Are the earrings flowers or leaves though? Because for a fg you could do a simple flower field, especially a pretty flower that butterflies eat like jasmine or lavender to add some lovely pastel contrast! You could even do something feminine and vintage feeling too like a hand mirror, an old looking book about butterflies, or maybe even a picnic basket? It could work with the cute bug boy you're planning on doing, like a date that went wrong! ❤

Some people use IbisX or even Paintool Sai to draw for more in depth drawing. I believe both of them are free or you can at least get free versions that let you try it out. I would say Sai is more beginner friendly if you're considering switching.

It definitely shouldn't have been pixelated. I've seen people use a square canvas with pretty good results, but it might be too compressed? If you choose a different size I'm not sure if it would help or just pixelate it more.

It looks like Discord suppresses file sizes dramatically if they're uploaded from a mobile device and some tablets, which would pixelate it. Nitro just lets you send bigger files but Discord itself will remove extra data from uploads to flatten and compress them for other mobiles. You might just have to use a third party site like Imgur to keep them from compressing.

OOOH WHY DIDNT I SEE THIS EARLIER 😭❤ They're so pretty together! The clothes match perfectly, his lil facial expression, his plaid shirt, the lil paper plane! Everything works so beautifully! I love how angy he looks about the butterfly, like, "why would you ever let that thing land on you? 👀" I also really love the corset lacing you used for his shirt to tie it into the female outfit. You have an eye for detail work.

There's some things that look a little off though, the males eyebrows go above his hair instead of under like the female version, while it would hide the upturned one, I think the blush with question marks would get it across that he's weirded out. I also think the male mouth looks a little too small, compared to the fem one anyway. Extending it just a tiny bit or giving him more of a noticeable frown would help accentuate it!A different colored bg like the blue one you did would also help differentiate the skins but keep them together. I just think the blue would help him stand out more! Other than those little things, there isn't any noticeable gradient, no harsh or uneeded outlines, and just very pretty pastel perfection! ❤

I think they go together super well, but clothes would definitely help tie them together more. Like a witches robe covered in petals and leaves with massive sleeves to keep the big eye energy going! If you don't like the hair, you could even try for longer pigtails to even them out with how large the brim of the hat is.

Hey, i like the idea you are going for, i have 2 suggestions, first one is the quality of pic is so low and when you zoom in you cant see clearly, try to send higher quality pics here, second one is about the eyes. It seems like in both genders right eyes' pupils are going out of eye. For female eyes you can add some eyelashes and put somethings in crop shirt too and but these are just personal preferences of mine. Wish you the best!

They currently sit a little too low on the face and make the bottom half of it look crowded, which would also mean any face decorations people might use with your skin wouldn't have the needed space. I also suggest adding more markings to the arms just to add that contrast against the very light grey you've chosen. Also, are you planning on adding a tail? If so, definitely spread the markings to it too! ❤

As an idea, graffiti artists haven't been done in-game in yet and it's a great one to use since you can be fairly creative with it, like using paint drips on clothing or an entire background done in graffiti!

As far as your version of it goes, you'd definitely need to redo a couple of things to get it in-game! For example, airbrushes and gradients aren't allowed in-game (like the hair and clothing here), neither is religious imagery like the cross earrings, etc. There's a list of guidelines and rules in the pinned messages if you actually want to submit this, but overall, you've done a great job here and I hope you continue creating!

for shading -> try to sketch out the hair strands/bangs and shade around such shapes, mostly the lower part and have the line thin near the roots

don't do color fading with more than two colors unless you shade some larger objects

lines overall are a lil messy, try using a different brush or enable stabilization

also, maybe have a darker eyeline color? having a difference in tones between the pupils and the lining helps

no examples for hair as i'm currently not doin it and eye fixes are simple enough <.<

Green: You can cut the hair layer in half making the bottom part on a layer under the base model so it won't make 'crappy' (vocabulary) borders.
Blue: The part of hair, you should make the dark colour lines tigher/bigger cause from far we don't see it. (on the left)
Purple: Make it more.. constant ? I mean try to keep the size of the brush the same so the reflection on the hair looks better. And the shape of it, think don't do random shapes even if globally it looks good from far.
You also should put more of them on the side of the head (left and right).

Generally yes, every item has to be separated. It makes it easier to interchange items if they're separated and makes changing your design up easier, but there's some items in-game where the hat item is part of the hair or there's a separate hat because the hair comes with its own "hat", like animal ears. You can choose to separate them or make it one item, but separating is usually better. It really depends on the design, but in your case it sounds like it would be better to separate them if you can't tell them apart.

Oooh, I don't know if you still want feedback, but this is a very pretty design! 💙 I love the way you did the water bg, the ripples looks so delicate and realistic! You did an amazing job making it look like liquid! It would go so well with so many water themed skins! I also really love your butterflies, they add a nice summery touch to it! 💙 However, the butterfly in the bottom left gets lost in the water since it's basically the same color as the waves, same with the flower its on and the hair bow. You could add more variations of blue and green to separate the foliage from the water, even turning that flower white or a very light green would help show it off more. You just need to play around with your pallete and see what looks best! 💙

I would also suggest cleaning up the hairline and making it more distinct since right now, it's hard to tell exactly where it begins and ends. This piece (1) should be directly in the middle of her forehead and by moving it, you'll create a guide since her new hair part will be straight down the middle of her scalp to the ponytail. Which allows you to place those beautiful curls on either side of the head and add more highlights and shadow to the scalp to really make the hair stand out from the bg! 💙 Other than those things, you have a solid design here, it's summery, floral, and super femme! You'll have no trouble getting it in-game!
