I think the base colour can replace the second darkest colour, or you can add more shadings to the top side.

It looks nice, but quite plain as well. The best way to fix that seems like you can just replace those colours so it will look like it has highlights, also, theres no shading at the right second part.

Maybe try:

-white hair
-remove the green color from the palette and keep a limited color palette (white, pink, brown)
-try a white shirt and maybe make it a bit more oversized (you can overdraw the template)
-the eyes seem like they have gradient
-i cant see the eye highlights make them bigger or remove them 👀
-try making the book a bit bigger and again, keep up to your color palette (1-2 colors + black OR white should do)
