Great start! Please remember that you cannot brushes that is look like gradient because gradients aren't allowed.
Shirt seems too big, try to small 'em a bit.
Hairline is too high, I don't know what's your theme but if it's hair like this, then it's okay just fix some shades

for the hair, the left side looks kinda stiff GW_pika_think u could smoothen out the outline of hair and u can add lighter and more shadings 😙 for the eyes imo u shld redo it (make it smaller, make colour of iris lighter etc) u can also shade the red yellow thingy. The sun and cloud is kinda too big (imo) there are outlines on the envelope (grave) and perhaps u could add a lil bit of shading to the mud GW_popcorn_cat overall so far this avatar doesn’t rlly give me vibes of a courier (in my opinion !)

The eyebrows are a little strange, the colour combination of the irises don't really fit well together (the blue is kind of a blot on a landscape and doesn't fit much with the designs dominant colours).
The shirt looks simply messy, perhaps think of a simpler and patterned design?

As for the mouth idea, not sure what the theme of the outfit is so would it be ok to ask you what it is?

The idea of the shirt was to look like glowing coal.
I thought the could be an eye catcher but you are right the blue is to much.

Yea there are some rules

#

No gradient
No copy paste
No tracing of something already existing
You need to do everything yourself
Hair cant go behind back
Eye details (the reflection) should not be mirrored
And uhm yea idk i probably forgot the rest

Oh and dont be too close on your reference photo you can use it for inspiration but yea there could be copyright issues
