The mouths lines need to be cleaner, on the edges and the black line separating the teeth isn't consistent with the mouths curve yknow? Like they don't line up with one another

@orchid dust not bad actually! Thinking only lowly of your work won't do any good, perhaps focus on "What can I do to do better" as it'll give a way less negative impact on your mood. Everyone in this channel is looking forward to help eachother improve!

Here's my fb:

Let's clear out the way the most important aspects that don't follow the guidelines (I suggest you take a look at them in the pinned messages as you're already here).
Hair cannot go behind the back as it will deform larger shirts, the eyes layer should be under hair layer as well (the layer order is also in the pinned).

The eyes are a tad too big so I suggest you make them smaller, mirrored highlights are not recommended and small details should be made bigger as well since they wouldn't be seen in game otherwise. ||did you draw eyebrows in?||

The shirt makes her chest look very thin and the arms too thick.

The bubble could be made a little rounder and closer to the mouth.

I suggest to look up references for the lips because tbh I don't know how to explain how lips are because even I struggle with mouths.

The side parts of the hair are kinda choppy(?), it looks a bit stiff. Hair is usually very flowey, even if someone has straight hair it won't completely go straight down.

Overall I think the palette chosen is cute but more colour hues can be added and put more shading in the whole design to make it look less flat.

This whole message may be overwhelming and might make you think like you did bad but you did not! I'll be happy to see your constant progress and help you out when needed!

@red python Hey, those skins look very nice, but the soda on the male should have some shading, also the straw could be white? the females fg phone also needs some shading, and sum extra details to make it look not so plain, the eyes are nice, but the shading is far too dark, lighten it up a bit. I do like the two colours together a lot but I don't know...

Hair:

as mentioned, it is pretty messy and also has messy lines, do you use a stabiliser? I don't use pixel programs myself but every app should have one to make clearer lines. This is especially visible on the right bun for the shading I would not suggest nearly white colours and not too much different ones. Just use max. 3 shading colours to make sure it fits in the game style and so make it look cleaner. Especially if you check out the part where the forehead is, you will see that it looks like something round due to the gradient like shading.

Eyes:

they are too big and I would not suggest you to use the grid to place them. This makes the eyes too small. Additional the eyes seem different big and placed in the middle... They are not really at the same position, right? Also eyes aren't that open on any side 🙊 maybe you could check some eyes in #dev-vote to see the game style ;)

Mouth:

also mentioned, it is hard to see because it is just one line and a teeth. You can keep the line but then don't make it that thin. Remember, that skins in game are really small and small details will be invisible

Front:

I like the heart but again a bit messy on the right bottom. And a shading isn't too suitable, better add a highlight on the blue side and the ping top side where blue and pink meet? It makes it look shining. Don't use poor white tho. The drink also looks a bit messy. The shading should also be a highlight and I am sure coffee or whatever doesn't go till it could drop out 👀

Shirt:

nice necklace but invisible in game ^^' and idk if a black line is really useful maybe make another colour since you didn't use and black in the whole design and it seems totally random. I can't see how you made the jacket, but make it bigger than the actual body template because else It looks pretty flat. Why does the shading on the white end with the necklace?

All in all nice idea and cute, now make it game style and even better than it is

i'd recommend you both to use a bigger canvas size (the bigger canvas size u create, the smoother lines it'll be)

white lines on hat and white sparkles (on fg shirt bg hat) kinda messy and too small, that they cant be shown barely in game

aha the mouth too, cant shown barely is not a big problem at all with sparkles, so i'd say the first thing to fix is to make them less messy (and if u can make em bigger a bit)
