Thank you both for the suggestions and the feedback! I appreciate yall 👍 I used harsh shading on the hair to illustrate the dirty blonde two tone of the avatar. The term "loverboy" indeed has alternative meanings, but the interpretation I was using it for was as "a boy with love, or too much love", and was convinced enough that the term is positive, but I am willing to change the tattoo. The roses were designed straight to reassemble the roses we use in the game. Lmao last thing I had like three versions of this design so of course I will be happy to show you the one with the mouth shown

@quick harbor thanks, but I specified the stems to be intentionally straight to be similar to the roses in the wwo game :) it might look unnatural and I understand, but I'm hoping to keep them that way. Also I saw a lot of designs with writings so I'm assuming it is allowed

I also felt like keeping the stems straight made the roses look more organized, since there are 6 roses and making the stems curve would be distracting to the outfit

Hopefully the kiss that is covered by the hair could be cut off at the border of the hair and the mask so I can still keep it there, erasing it is not what I'd want :( I'll see how making the eyelashes darker will work out, but the shadows in the hair have been specified above

? I said the kiss was cropped to the border so even when the mask is on top, that kiss will look as if it's behind the hair, and I said it at the top that the hair is deliberately shaded that way to make it seem like a two tone dirty blonde

also since the right side of the avatar is lighter, the light is probably coming from the right but all your shadows are there and he highlights are on the other side which doesnt make sense but i dont think thats such a huge deal

@waxen lily the boys shirt can use some shading. Also the shading on the box is on the wrong side, because all your shadows are on the left side except from the ones on the box

If you're unsure of the color schemes or the best ways to add shading, this is the perfect place to ask for guidance. Oh and use the stabilizer. That'll make your designing so much easier, I had to figure it out the hard way

I'd also change the way the hair flows a bit nvm the pigtail i just did anything with that one

The arm part of the shirt both shirts shouldn't exactly follow the body template so closely but either go a bit more outwards instead of inwards
Also as you havent got a mask on the female one i thought since there is a mouth category now you could add some futuristic lips?

starting with the hair.. I like it, but it's seriously hard to do it separated in two sites with two colors... And especially if it's separated like this. Maybe you could work on it? The shading isn't placed that well and it needs more structure. Also try to make the strains on the tips thinner

The eyes are kinda weird.... They look far away from each other and also small. I think that's just the hair and eye combination. The highlights are mirrored, even if that's not against any rules, it looks always kinda weird. You could also make them a little bit bigger

the lips are okay, but in my opinion it doesn't fit in the color scheme... Maybe you could make it less dark?

The shirt needs more improvement and the color of the back item and shirt are blending in each other, which is really weird. I can't see, where the shirt ends an that's sad.

the background could also need more detail, especially the snakes head.

starting with the hair. It's a really cool and nice hairstyle. But a few thing are not right there. The left part is totally fine, but I don't like the right. This is because it doesn't look right. Can you try to make this site more natural? As example the longest Grey strain and the smaller which is with the long one... It's so random placed. Same goes for the other strains in the right site. add more shading to give it some more structure too.

The eyes have a nice color, but yes the black line around the iris and white part will count as outline. Please change this and remove the gradient in the iris, which is not allowed.
The eyes look kinda small and high placed too, but that's hard to say, if the glasses are on

the glasses are okay, but you could make the nose part of it darker because it's nearly impossible to see

The small details on the earring won't be visible in game, because it's just too small. Maybe you could remove it.

I would suggest more detail in the mout, especially the teeth. The inside is too light, use a darker red. Especially that the tongue is darker than the inside of the mouth is weird.

The shirt is really nice an I don't have much to say, but shading on the arms won't hurt.

all in all, please use more shading and for a beginning it's awesome!

let's start with the horns. I really like them, but would prefer if they would be smaller. And maybe you could rotate them a little bit, because they are kinda weird placed. I mean, that they basically point to each other and that's what makes it weird. The shading you placed is mirrored and probably too dark. It's too similar to lines 👀 you can also make the tips thinner

The wings are really cute 0.0 I remember similar wings in game already, but they are different and it should be fine. Here is the same: make it less like lines, but shading and lighter and the tips thinner.

@wanton hamlet For your submitted design, it looks really pretty so far, but I have returned with a few more suggestions that could be improved. They are from myself and the other staff... I try to list them in order from most important to least important.

-The black hair looks unfinished; Absolutely no shading/details and a little rough on the edges...(check out the left chin side, and the little blob on her forehead)
-The lips are too big (you should also remove the default mouth behind it)
-For the cat, the shading is too strong esp on the left and on the head/ears.
The shape of the head looks unnatural, I will include a sketch for improving the shape
-Lines under the eyes dont make sense, best to remove completely
-The necklace/choker on the right blends in with the skin tone a lot
-I would also maybe suggest putting the flowers higher up on the head

@atomic hearth I'll revise the design, but allow me to explain a few points that you and the other staffs have misunderstood 😄

The design was meant to be a tribute as stated, so the avatar's characterized with big, red lips. It'd be unfortunate in my personal view to shrink and eliminate one of her famous traits.

The lines under the eyes, as seen from the picture presented below, are to represent the crease under the eyes and also a signature style of mine. The purpose of it is to add a more humanistic expression to the design without too much detail and to enhance the shape of the eyes, and I hope this explanation made the lines make more sense

The flower is intended to be placed right next to her ear, as most natural flowers are placed :)

The rest of the suggestions will be noted, I'm glad to receive the thoughtful and caring feedbacks now 👍

GASP THAT'S SO CUTE I LOVE
i'd add some more shadowing and highlights to the hair and make the bg a bit lighter and bluer so it doesn't blend with the head item
and yeah same goes to the overalls and shirt. it's better to not use pure black but a dark grey or dark blue or something so you can shadow it and stuff

maybe some loose strands of hair or something too

but man i Really love it ;;

The eye highlights and the littl skull highlights are mirrored in opposite directions: the eye highlights are on the “outside” and the skull on the “insides”
Personally I would prefer to have them only on one side but thats a style preference. Though I would say to make them at least consistent @zealous finch

@honest mural I dont think background items that fill up the whole crate are allowed, since it wouldn't be possible to see the day/night backgrounds

so maybe removing the grass and lowering the river and sign would be better

@coarse sage I really like this concept, but I don't understand the haircut and the hairline is too high. I love the clouds in the bg but don't know what the big circle is supposed to be. adding more shading in general is important and maybe asiatic looking eyes with a chic makeup would be nice, and maybe a dark red lipstick for mouth

Alot of the shading, or should i say lack of shading reminds me of the old style, which should be fixed up to meet the newer standards. Mainly in the hat/beard. The eyes are also a version of the default eyes which is generally frouned upon with today’s standards. @hard garden

The gravestone is absolutely dope, i love it so much. As Steamy said the eyelids cannot be a certain skin color because it looks weird with other skin colors.
